Argentina citizenship by investment family application

An Argentina citizenship by investment family application needs more than a headcount. The announcement distinguishes spouses, children under 18 and unmarried children aged 18–25 without children of their own. It also requires the family relationship to be demonstrated.

The category tree below helps organize questions. It does not decide whether every family member qualifies under final rules.

Announced Argentina citizenship by investment family categories and contribution amounts for spouse, minor child and adult child aged 18 to 25
Announced family categories and contribution amounts. Relationship documents and operating procedures still need implementation guidance. The public application channel is not verified as operational.

Announced family category tree

  • Main applicant
  • Spouse (relationship must be demonstrated)
  • Children under 18
  • Children aged 18–25 who are unmarried and without children
  • Not named in the announcement: parents, grandparents, siblings; married adult children; adult children with children; age 26+

Organizes questions only. Not a final eligibility decision.

Example: children aged 12, 19 and 26

Hypothetical scenario: an applicant and spouse want to include three children. The 12-year-old falls within the announced minor-child category. The 19-year-old falls within the announced adult-child category only if unmarried and without children. The 26-year-old is outside that stated category.

The couple should not count all five people in an estimate and assume the oldest child is included. Nor should they assume the oldest child has no other immigration options. A separate legal assessment is needed.

For the applicant, spouse, 12-year-old and qualifying 19-year-old, the contribution illustration totals US$575,000 before other charges. It does not include the 26-year-old.

Birthdays can change the planning question

A child aged 17 may cross into a different contribution band. A child aged 25 may reach the upper boundary before a decision. The announcement does not explain when age is fixed for assessment or whether any protection applies during processing.

Ask for that rule in writing before relying on a budget. Avoid describing the program as providing "age-out protection" without a published basis.

Relationship evidence and other relatives

Birth and marriage records are sensible preparation topics, but their required format, translations and certification should follow the official checklist. Adoption, stepchildren, custody, divorce, financial dependence and disability-related situations may require additional clarification.

Parents, grandparents and siblings should not be inserted into an announced category that does not mention them. University admission, tuition and regional residence are also separate questions; citizenship does not establish a promised education package.
